Police seek money-grabber

Suffolk police are on the lookout for a man who snatched a business’s bank deposit as an employee prepared to enter the bank.
The theft occurred at 10:35 a.m. as the employee exited her vehicle at the Bank of America in the 200 block of West Washington Street, according to a news release from the city. The woman was approached from behind by a black male, who grabbed the deposit bag and fled on foot to the west.
No weapon was displayed, and the victim was not injured.
The suspect was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans, stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds, according to the release.
Anyone who has information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to Crime Line never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
