Mattie Virginia Faulk, of 4677 Deerpath Road, Suffolk, Va., died Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Como, N.C., and the daughter of the late Danny Sykes and Virgie Virginia Sykes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lee Faulk.

She retired from Louise Obici Hospital. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Meredith Faulk, of Harrisburg, Pa., and Darlene Faulk, of Portsmouth, Va.; three sons, Joseph Faulk, Earl McKinney Faulk, both of Suffolk, and Dexter Faulk, of Hampton, Va.; one sister, Mamie Jenkins, of Suffolk; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Piney Grove Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Larry Parker. Interment will be in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
