A group of athletes from World Class Gymnastics recently participated in the Virginia Level 6 and 7 State Championships, held April 6 and 7 in Hampton.

Results for the local team were as follows:

Level 7

Age 15: Bethany McCutchen, 3rd floor 9.4

Age 14: Kyla Hasson, 1st bars 9.475, 3rd all around 36.625.

Age 13, Juniors: Rachel Joaquin, 3rd floor 9.325

Age 11, Seniors: Kelsey Jones, 1st bars 9.7

Age 8: Katherine Scibelli, 3rd vault 9.25, 2nd bars 9.4, 2nd floor 9.6

Level 6

Ages 15 and 16: Emalie Steffen, 2nd vault 8.475, 1st bars 8.2, 1st floor 9.150, 1st all around 32.675

Age 14: Dominique Rice, 2nd floor 9.175

Age 12, Seniors: Elizabeth Yeager, 2nd vault 9.1
