A Portsmouth school employee arrested last year on charges of taking indecent liberties with a child had the charges dismissed in court this week.

The charges were dismissed against Suffolk resident Kevin Brown, now 49, after a bench trial.

Brown had been assistant director of student services at Stephen H. Clarke Academy.

A 16-year-old student at the school had claimed Brown approached her about sexual encounters between November 2011 and April 2012.
