Firefighters battled a residential fire in the 400 block of Brook Avenue Thursday evening.

The fire in the single-story house was reported at 7:52 p.m., and units were on scene three minutes later to find smoke coming from the windows. The fire was brought under control at 8:12 p.m., according to city spokeswoman Diana Klink.

No one was injured or displaced as a result of the fire, which was ruled accidental.
