Jessie Lee Eure, 74, of 407 Wellons St., Suffolk, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth. He was a native of Isle of Wight County and the son of the late Rolland Eure and Ruth Barnes Eure. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Cross Eure.

He retired as a self-employed landscaper. He was a member of Stoney Branch Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory four daughters, Ruth Eure, Vanessa Eure Cherry, of New Haven, Conn., Loretta Eure, of Ahoskie, N.C., and Lorraine Eure; two sons, Warren L. Eure (Clatie), of Suffolk, and Michael E. Eure (Diana), of Franklin; 25 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Stoney Branch Missionary Baptist Church, 581 Gatlington Road, Gates, N.C. officiated by the Rev. Linwood Boone.
