Annie Marie Norman Worrell

Mrs. Annie Marie Norman Worrell, of Suffolk, transitioned from earth to glory on June 29, 2013, in Chesapeake General Hospital. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Issac and Bessie Norman. Sister Worrell was predeceased by her husband, Wallace Worrell Sr., and two sons, Felton Worrell and Wallace Worrell Jr.; four sisters, Armattie Norman, Ruby Boone, Addie Worrell and Madgie Powell.

Besides her church family, she leaves to cherish her memory one son, Charles Worrell (Cecelia), of Chesapeake; one sister, Thelma Woodson, of Suffolk; two sisters-in-law, Pattie Norman, of Coatsville, Pa., and Rosa Lee Wallace, of Suffolk; three daughters-in-law, Phyllis Worrell, of Warrenton, Josephine Worrell, of Staten Island, N.Y., and Dorothy Worrell, of Philadelphia, Pa.; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013, at noon, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Suffolk, officiated by Dr. Anthony Copeland. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Crocker Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013. Crocker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
