To the editor:

The Joe Bagley VFW Post 2582 wishes to thank the generous citizens of Suffolk and the Farm Fresh on North Main Street for supporting its canned food drive.

The collection brought in 187 pounds of canned and dry goods, which were donated to Vetshouse Inc. in Virginia Beach. Vetshouse is a 12-month program to aid homeless veterans as they transition back to society. Vetshouse is a nonprofit organization, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is proud to support a program that helps America’s veterans facing difficult times.
