Kayak rentals are now available at Windsor Castle Park in Smithfield.

Launched at the park’s state-of-the-art kayak launch, rentals are offered on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Fridays from 3 to 7 p.m., including holidays. Rentals are $10 per hour per kayak. A two-person kayak costs $20 per hour. The rental fee includes paddle and personal flotation device.

The park is also now offering guided kayak tours with guide Gary Parsons. Tours will last about two hours and will gather at the Windsor Castle Park launch ramp parking lot at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $35 per person, which includes kayak rental (two-person kayak: $45) and personal flotation device. If kayakers bring their own equipment, the fee is $25 per person, but space still needs to be reserved.

Moonlight paddle tours will be offered Aug. 17 and Sept. 14. Participants can explore the salt marsh creeks in the cool evening air illuminated by the soothing light of the full moon.

Starlight mythology tours will be offered Aug. 3 and Sept. 7. Learn how to navigate the stars. Then find the month’s constellations and hear their stories.
