The Isle of Wight County Fair Committee is recruiting local talent for the annual talent show, also known as Isle of Wight’s Got Talent.

The event is scheduled for Sept. 15.

Four categories are planned: dance, vocal, instrumental and comedy. Three age divisions will compete: 12 and under, 13-17 years of age and 18 and up. Cash prizes of $50 for first place and $25 for second place will be awarded.

Participants must either live, work or attend school in Isle of Wight County. Group acts that have a majority of a certain age in their group will be placed in that age group. Acts must be 3-1/2 to 4 minutes long. Anything over four minutes may be disqualified. If pre-registration warrants auditions, the top three acts from each age division and category will compete Sept. 15 at the Isle of Wight County Fair Family Stage.
