City crews are cleaning up the roadway along Whaleyville Boulevard after an unknown vehicle dropped scrap metal in the road, resulting in at least 10 vehicles experiencing flat tires.

The incident happened Wednesday afternoon between Freeman Mill Road and Liberty Spring Road.

Public Works is on scene cleaning the roadway, and police officers are directing traffic.
