A suspect charged in connection with a rape will be in Franklin District Court Monday morning for arraignment.
Tremaine M. Porter, 26, whose last known address is 305 Edwards St., Apt. A, in Franklin, has no bond. Porter was arrested Wednesday evening in the 7600 block of Harvest Drive in Suffolk and charged with sexual assault.
The suspect reportedly led the juvenile victim to the back of an apartment complex on Tuesday evening, where he allegedly abducted and raped her by force.

The suspect is also believed to be involved in a burglary and assault case, which happened on Franklin’s Washington Street Wednesday morning, according to Lt. Timothy Whitt, spokesman for the Franklin Police Department.
At approximately 5:30 a.m., an individual forced entry through a back door and sexually assaulted the 48-year-old resident. The victim was also struck in the face, causing injury. She was later treated at Southampton Memorial Hospital.
It is unknown at this time if anything was taken. As of Friday, Porter had not been formally charged in the Washington Street case.
