Ella Louise Barrett, 70, of Manning Road, Suffolk, died Saturday, July 27, 2013, in Williamsburg. She was a native of Newport News and the daughter of Elizabeth R. Barrett and the late John Thomas Barrett.

She attended G.W. Carver High School.

Besides her mother, Elizabeth R. Barrett, she leaves to cherish her memory seven sisters, Shirley Boykins (Hollis), of Suffolk, Elizabeth Ellison (Ashford), Ruth Hill, of Stony Creek, Ruby B. Richmond, of Hampton, Catherine Rodgers (Allen), of Hampton, Linda Copeland (Alexander), Dorothy Reese, of Suffolk; brothers, John Thomas Barrett Jr. (Brenda), of Hampton, and Herman Lee Barrett, of Suffolk; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at the Barrett Family Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
