Phillip H. Everett

Phillip H. Everett, 87, of 7637 South Quay Road, Suffolk, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late Phillip Everett and Emma C. Everett. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Eunice Everett, Dorothy Eure and Elizabeth Hill; and one brother, John Everett.

He retired as a plumber at Planters Peanuts after 40 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Holland, where he was a choir member. Mr. Everett was a member of the American Legion, and he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Ledora Everett; daughter-in-law, Belinda Everett, of Courtland; three grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. Dr. J.J. Ferguson and eulogy by the Rev. Anthony Sommerville.
