Hunter helps Builders go 2-0

Suffolk’s Ben Hunter hit an even-par 71 last Friday to lead The Apprentice School golf team to its second consecutive tri-match victory over Surry Community College and Johnston Community College.
The Builders had a team total of 317, with Surry three strokes back at 320, followed by Johnston at 361.
After registering a 1-under round of 70 the day before at Pine Hollow Golf Course in Clayton, N.C., Hunter made it back-to-back medalist rounds with Friday’s performance on the River Golf and Country Club’s 6,400-yard course in Louisburg, N.C.
Hunter and the Builders will next compete in the Bridgewater Invitational at Lakeview Golf Course on Sept. 15-16.
