Walsingham Academy fell to the visiting Nansemond-Suffolk Academy field hockey team on Monday by the score of 2-1.

Junior midfielder Sarah Higinbotham scored in the first half and sophomore midfielder Brooklyne Carr followed it up with a goal in the second, assisted by junior forward Jessie Lerner.

The Lady Saints executed 11 shots on goal and eight penalty corners. The Lady Trojans produced nine penalty corners, but Lady Saints junior goalie Madi Glynn anchored a strong defense with 12 saves.

NSA (2-1, 0-0) visited Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School on Tuesday.
