Bulldogs edge Heritage

The King’s Fork High School boys’ volleyball team went the distance with visiting Heritage High School on Thursday evening, triumphing in an up-and-down five-set marathon: 25-15, 17-25, 25-15, 15-25, 15-10.
Mark Kluck led the Bulldogs with 14 kills and 3.5 blocks, while Aireon Leary contributed 12 kills, seven assists and two blocks. Cal Bailey produced 30 assists to go with three kills.
The Hurricanes were led by Corey White with 14 kills, one ace and six blocks; Lashawn Whitney added nine kills, seven blocks and four aces.
The Bulldogs remain in first place in the Ironclad Conference, improving to 6-1.
King’s Fork (11-8, 6-1) travels to play Phoebus High School on Monday in another conference match.
