Suffolk police are investigating an auto-pedestrian crash that occurred in the 400 block of Factory Street Monday evening.

The driver of the involved vehicle, a Pontiac four-door sedan, contacted dispatchers at 7:09 p.m. to report the accident and remained on scene.

The victim, Rashee Lamarze Blount, 20, of Suffolk, was airlifted by Nightingale to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening, according to city spokeswoman Diana Klink.

The accident remains under investigation.
