On March 23, 1927, in Murfreesboro, N.C., the Rev. Margie N. Jefferson was born to the union of Mabel N. Jefferson and William V. Jefferson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Deborah Jean Jefferson-Galba-Bright; two sons, William “Coy” Jefferson and Tyrone Jefferson; and a great-grandson, Shuan Lorenzo Faulk Jr.

Rev. Jefferson was a member of Greater First Baptist Orlando for more than 50 years and served as an associate pastor for 14 years.

Margie leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children, Barbara Harris-Allen, Mabel L. Hamlin and Edward Jefferson; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Helena Jefferson, Kay Jefferson and Angie Jefferson; and a foster sister, Cleo Jackson.

Rev. Jefferson’s visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday from noon to 8 p.m., with a wake service from 6 to 8 p.m. A home going celebration of life service will take place on Friday at 1 p.m. at Greater First Baptist Church Orlando.
