Five adults and two children have been displaced after a house fire in the 400 block of Elizabeth Street Wednesday morning.
The blaze was reported at 9:33 a.m., and firefighters arrived five minutes later to find heavy smoke coming from the attic area and rear of the residence, according to a press release from city spokeswoman Diana Klink.
No one was inside the home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.
A Red Cross Disaster Relief Team responded and will provide lodging, food and clothing assistance to two adults and two children, Red Cross spokesman Rob Shapiro said. The others affected did not seek Red Cross assistance at this time, Shapiro said.
