Martin Lavale Jennings

On Thursday, January 2, 2014, Martin Lavale Jennings was called to rest.

Martin, also known as “Chicken Hawk” or “Money Jay,” was born April 7, 1968, to Michael Jones and Barbara Drummond. Martin served four years in the U.S. Army. He was a loving and caring person who loved his kids, family, cars, music and fashion. He will be greatly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alfred and Elizabeth Jones; maternal grandfather, Vernell Jennings; and Uncle Segdrick and Aunt Audrey.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother and father; six sons, Raeshon, Jaequan, Jhmari, Raequan, Martin Jr. and Jarell; three daughters, Juanita, Juanisha and Marjae; one sister, Artista Jennings; two brothers, Michael Jones Jr. and Adaryll Jennings; three nieces, Latisa, Indya and Yahiness; four nephews, Tyree, Adaryll Jr., Adarius and Craig Jr.; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services will be held Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. at Antioch United Church of Christ, 900 Hull St., Suffolk.
