A severe thunderstorm that blew through the city on Saturday afternoon brought scary moments but little property damage.

A few streets were flooded in the usual places, and a few trees were down, but no injuries were reported, city spokeswoman Diana Klink said.

The National Weather Service issued a brief tornado warning for the northeastern part of the city, but it only remained in effect for about 20 minutes. The city was under a tornado watch for most of the day.

Saturday evening, flooding was reported on North Main Street at the Kimberly Bridge, in the 100 block of East Constance Road and on Holland Road at the Holland bypass.

A couple of downed trees were reported, on O’Kelly Drive and South Quay Road and on U.S. Route 58 eastbound at the weight station, Klink said. They were removed as the storm passed.
