Police investigate an accident on Monday evening when a car went through the front window of Bennett’s Creek Farm Market.

A car went through the front window at Bennett’s Creek Farm Market on Bridge Road Monday afternoon.

City spokeswoman Diana Klink said in a press release the Toyota Corolla came through the window about 4:39 p.m. The 82-year-old man who was driving and his passenger were not injured. The car went about three feet into the store.

Manager Jody Matthews said nobody inside the store was hurt.

“It was an older couple,” he said. “We don’t really know what happened.”

Matthews said the store likely will not have to close to repair the damage.

“We’re just going to have to close off this window,” he said. “We’ve just got to close it up so we can get it fixed.”

He added it’s not the first time a car has run into the store.

No charges have yet been placed, Klink said.
