A forecast of snow has prompted school sporting events in and around Suffolk to be either postponed or canceled.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s girls’ and boys’ basketball home games scheduled for Tuesday evening have been rescheduled for Feb. 1. The girls’ will play at 2 p.m., and the boys’ will play at 3:30 p.m.

Suffolk Christian Academy’s girls’ basketball road game, scheduled for Tuesday evening in Portsmouth, has been canceled.

Lakeland High School has canceled Wednesday evening’s scheduled wrestling match at Tallwood High School.

Suffolk Public Schools are in the midst of exam week, so most of their sports teams already were on breaks.
