CORAPEAKE, N.C. — Sharon (Sherry) Baker Horton, 57, died on Feb. 1, 2014, at her home with her loving family at her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Maggie Marie Baker.

Sherry was a loving mother and grandmother who shared her unconditional love with many selfless acts to her family. She loved making and teaching ceramics with others.  She also loved her faithful dogs, Toby and Fancy.

Sherry is survived by her husband, Jerry Horton, of Corapeake, N.C.; daughter, Shannon Lambaiso and husband, Brandon, of Norfolk; son, Brandon Horton and wife, Heather, of Suffolk; grandchildren, Nathan and Autumn Horton; sister, Brenda Copeland and her husband, Enoch Harris, of Gates County, N.C.; brother, Mark Baker and sister-in-law, Cindy Baker, both of Suffolk.

A funeral will be conducted on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, 4569 Shoulders Hill Road, Suffolk, VA 23435. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, VA 23434.
