John Washington of Suffolk knows how to pick winning numbers.

In June of last year, he won $100,000 in the Virginia Lottery’s Cash 5 drawing. He repeated the feat in the Feb. 1 nighttime drawing, where the winning numbers were 15-16-18-22-31. He selected his numbers using a combination of birthdays.

He bought the winning ticket at Duck Thru Food Store, 6273 Holland Road. He said he has no immediate plans for his winnings.
