Nansemond-Suffolk Academy’s girls’ and boys’ swim teams placed in the top half of teams competing at the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools championships on Saturday. NSA has ended up with 17 state qualifiers.

The girls’ team finished third out of 10 schools competing in Newport News on Saturday, and the boys’ team finished fourth, also out of 10.

The following NSA swimmers have qualified to compete at this weekend’s Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division II state championships: Erin Atienza, Greg Beale, Taylor Berard, Drew Cowen, David Forman, Katherine Hayes, Hannah Lee Leidy, Emily Neuburg, Tori Psimas, Tyler Rogerson, Anna Grace Towler, Sam Towler, John Wade, Blake Wagner, Laura Wild, Ben Wilson and Madi Wilson.

The state championships will take place on Friday and Saturday at the Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Center in Manassas.
