Board approves admin appointments

The Suffolk School Board approved the filling of two administrative vacancies during its meeting Thursday, including one head-office position and one position at Nansemond River High School.
Janice McCarter, currently a teacher at Southwestern Elementary School, will be the history/social studies instructional specialist, school district spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw announced.
Kimberly Warholak will be assistant principal at Nansemond River, replacing Dale Kittle, who is retiring.
McCarter earned her bachelor’s degree from Charleston Southern University and her master’s in educational leadership from Regent University, while Warholak, currently a special education teacher at Nansemond River, earned her bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University and her master’s in educational leadership from Regent.
