NSA boys’ season ends

The Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School boys’ basketball team defeated host Nansemond-Suffolk Academy 69-40 on Saturday. This game concluded the Saints’ 2013-14 season as they failed to qualify for the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools tournament.

Saints junior forward C.J. Patterson led his team on Saturday with 14 points.

NSA also fell 59-48 at home on Friday to Norfolk Christian High School.

In that game, Saints sophomore guard Morgan Wentz scored 10 points, senior center Matt Newhall had nine points, and Patterson added eight.

Nansemond-Suffolk improved on last year’s one-win season with this year’s overall record of 7-14, and a conference record of 1-8.
