Angela L. Lewis, 40, of the 100 block of Nottingham Blvd., entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. Angela was affectionately known by her family and friends as “Tasha.” She was born on Dec. 25, 1973, in Hertford County, N.C.

Tasha graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, class of 1992, and Norfolk State University, class of 1997.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory and to celebrate her legacy, her devoted husband, Corey Lewis; a beloved son, Jalen Lewis; father, James Cherry; mother, Patricia Askew; six sisters; five brothers; and many other family and friends.

Mrs. Lewis’ visitation will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 4, from noon to 7 p.m., and the family will receive guests from 5 to 7 p.m. A celebration of life ceremony will take place at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, March 5, at 11 a.m., and she will be laid to rest at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
