Wilroy Baptist Church will host a model train expo March 15 as a way to introduce new folks to the church, said event organizer Bob Langer.

“When I came to Wilroy Baptist Church about a year ago, I thought it might be a good way to introduce our church to our neighbors,” said Langer, a member of the local division of the National Model Railroad Association.

The expo will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Langer said he contacted friends in the model train community, securing displays from Tidewater Big Train Operators, The Tidewater Modular Railroad Club, and The South Hampton Roads N-TRAK Club.

Admission will be free. Folks can register for two prizes of model train sets, and hotdogs and soft drinks will be available. The church is located at 306 Williams Road.
