The Suffolk Christian Academy softball team battled it out with visiting Peninsula Catholic High School on a cold and windy Thursday, but the host Lady Knights emerged victorious by the score of 16-12.

SCA head coach Robert Lester expressed pride in his players.

“I think they did great,” he said. “(There were) a few things that we expected coming in — a little bit of nervousness, not everybody on the same page to start with, stuff like that, but I think they did a great job of meshing together.”
