Suffolk police are seeking help identifying a suspect wanted in a rash of larcenies from vehicles in the city’s downtown area.

The incidents have occurred from the 100 block to the 1400 block of North Main Street. They began in the second week of February and have continued through this week, with a total of about 20 incidents, a city spokesman said.

The incidents have taken place between 2 p.m. and midnight and appear to target vehicles parked in shopping center and restaurant parking lots, sometimes with a victim’s personal items left in plain view inside.
