Kent O’Neal Parker died Thursday, March 13, 2014, at his residence in Virginia Beach. A funeral service will be held at noon, Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at First Baptist Church, 112 Mahan St., officiated by the Rev. Dr. Steven G. Blunt. Interment will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
