John F. Kennedy Middle School’s Junior Beta Club members received five awards in this year’s state academic convention.

JFK students earning recognition included:

• 1st place in Quiz Bowl — Mikey Ramlogan, Seth Miller, Janelle Mabrey and Jordan Fransee
• 1st place in Poster — Kinley Howeton, Jasmine Copeland, Reagan Wells and Meghan Bailey
• 2nd place in Essay — Janelle Mabrey
• 2nd place in Spelling — Hayley Lupton
• 2nd place in Banner — JFKMS

The group attended the state convention and participated with more than 20 schools in numerous academic events.
