The suddenly rolling King’s Fork High School girls’ soccer team picked up where it left off last week with another big win on Tuesday.
Last Friday, the Lady Bulldogs defeated host Indian River High School, 6-1, and on Tuesday, they topped Lakeland High School by the score of 6-0.
“Tonight’s game showed the versatility and depth of our entire team,” KF head coach Jason Stump stated in a text message on Tuesday. “The girls are adjusting to different scenarios and responding to instructions. They are also maturing in a way that they can see those adjustments in the field.”
Lady Bulldogs freshman Rebecca Washburn scored two goals, as did sophomore Logan Montel. Junior Lindsay Ransome and freshman Cydney Nichols each scored one apiece.
Washburn registered two assists, while Montel and Nichols each had one.
King’s Fork (2-2, 1-0) hosted Deep Creek High School on Wednesday and visits Nansemond River High School on Friday.
