Gerald E. Boothe

Gerald E. Boothe, 53, affectionately known as “Boo Jack,” was called home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2014, at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Suffolk. He was born on July 9, 1960, to the late Erma Morings-Boothe and Herbert Boothe.

Gerald attended Forest Glen High School. He was employed at Birdsong Peanut Company until his illness. Besides his parents, Gerald was predeceased by a brother, Thurman J. Boothe, and two stepsons, Thomas Douglas and Donnell Douglas. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Marjorie D. Boothe; one daughter, Tiffany Copeland, of Suffolk; two sons, Lamont “Red” Frazier, of Portsmouth, and Gerald “Lil Gerald” E. Boothe Jr., of Courtland; three stepdaughters, Margie Johnson, Magaline Robinson (Antwan) and Doris Douglas, all of Suffolk; three sisters, Elnoria Cross, of Suffolk, Ann C. Boothe, of Suffolk, and Della J. Boothe, of Chesapeake; two brothers, Herbert M. Boothe (Mack), of Suffolk, and Herman R. Boothe (Marion), of Haverhill, Mass.; a host of grandchildren, relatives and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Faith Temple Holiness Church, Wellons Street, Suffolk. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
