Fernando Page, of 3813 Magnolia Drive, Portsmouth, died Monday, March 31, 2014, at Bon Secours Maryview Hospital. He was a native of Chicago, Ill., and the son of the late Willie Page and Mary Elizabeth Page.

He attended Navy schools. He received military honors: Good Conduct Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Vietnam Medal, Navy Achievement Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years of service. He was employed at Advance Auto in Portsmouth. Fernando was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where he was on the Trustee Ministry, Senior Usher Ministry, Male Chorus “Voices of Shiloh” and Hospitality Committee.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Joyce E. Page; daughters, Natakey Page Owens, of Rocky Mount, N.C., Shelita Eley, Tameka Jones, both of Portsmouth, and Kimberly Wilson of Durham, N.C.; two sons, Demond Page, of Tampa, Fla., and Ricky Davis Jr., of Portsmouth; four sisters, Teresa Upshaw, of East Chicago, Ill., Brenda Page, Elense Hall and Gloria Hall, all of Gary, Ind.; three brothers, Samuel Hall, David Hall and William Hall, all of Gary, Ind.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon, Tuesday April 8, 2014, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Windsor. Interment will be in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
