Saints show no rust on diamond

The Nansemond-Suffolk Academy baseball team had a week off due to rainouts, but it returned to the field on Wednesday against visiting conference foe Walsingham Academy and won 14-2.

NSA junior Toby Buchanan had a strong day offensively, going 3-for-4 with a triple and five runs batted in. Senior Jake Grady went 2-for-3 with three runs scored, senior Will Breedlove went 2-for-2 with two doubles and sophomore Cole Williams went 2-for-2.

Senior Greg Beale not only went 3-for-4 at the plate, but picked up the win on the mound, improving to 4-2 this season.
