A male student at Nansemond River High School has been suspended and recommended for an expulsion hearing, school division spokeswoman Bethanne Bradshaw said, after being found in possession of a marijuana smoking device at school. City spokeswoman Diana Klink said another student reported to school officials on Monday that the student may have marijuana. Officials conducted a “school safety check” and discovered the device.
