Suffolk police are investigating separate weekend incidents of a shooting and a stabbing.
The shooting was reported at 11:18 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of Clay Street. The two adult male victims told police they were approached by two armed suspects who attempted to rob them.
One of the victims, a 30-year-old man, was located by emergency personnel suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body that was not considered life-threatening. He was ground-transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment, and the investigation is ongoing.
Early Sunday morning, a stabbing was reported to have occurred on Fuller Street. An officer responded to Sentara Obici Hospital, where the victim reported being at a party. However, the 23-year-old man did not know the house number or who the offender was.
The victim had two puncture wounds on his back, according to a police report.
