Lillie Mae Britton Harrell, 89, of Suffolk, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Southampton Memorial Hospital. Born Oct. 9, 1924, in Hertford County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Lillie Mae and Rossie L. Britton and was predeceased by her husband Clarence Hudson Harrell. Lillie Mae retired from Lipton after 35 years of service and was a member of Wilroy Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet H. Blanton and husband, Charles, of Carrsville; sons, Jimmie L. Harrell and wife, Lorene, of Suffolk, and Clarence Hudson Harrell Jr. and wife, Karen, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; grandchildren, Michael Vaughan, Kristy Schoch Ronnie Harrell, Kari Maskelony and Jessica Harrell; great-grandchildren Taylor, Joshua, Mackenzie, Marshall, Matthew, Peyton, Trinity Naomi, and Kayden.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, May 19, 2014, in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, with Tim W. Rawls officiating. Entombment will be at Meadowbrook Mausoleum, 4569 Shoulders Hill Road, Suffolk.
