Phillip Lee and Judith Taylor Saunders of Suffolk announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Mae Saunders to Eric Ryan White of Virginia Beach.

Saunders is the granddaughter of Mack and Ruth Saunders of Suffolk and the late James Dalton and Helen Rountree Taylor of Virginia Beach.

White is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Danny White Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz., and the grandson of Lillian White and the late Danny White Sr. of Virginia Beach. He is also the grandson of Ray Bishop and the late Judy Bishop of Virginia Beach.

Saunders graduated from Lakeland High School and Christopher Newport University with a B.A. in history. White graduated from Landstown High School and is currently employed with GEICO.

The double-ring candlelight ceremony will be held at West End Baptist Church, Suffolk, on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014.

Following their marriage, the couple plans to reside in Virginia Beach.
