The School Board has unanimously approved adding Advanced Placement physics as a subject in Suffolk’s public high schools.
At least 30 students are set to take the course in the 2014-2015 school year, when it will begin being taught, district Deputy Superintendent Jacqueline Chavis reported to Thursday’s board meeting.
“This is very timely, and we are going to try to add more (AP courses) as we see the interest is there,” said Deran Whitney, the district’s superintendent.
