Pastor’s installation set

Faith Temple Ministries Apostolic and will install and consecrate Pastor Troy J. Ruffin Sr. on Saturday.
Ruffin began serving as interim pastor in May 2013. He will be installed on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Faith Temple Ministries Apostolic, 476 Wellons St.
Elder Ruffin accepted the Lord as his savior at an early age. He has been a member of Faith Temple Ministries Apostolic since 1971 under the leadership of the late Dr. Bishop Obadiah Colander.
Born in 1971, he is a native of Suffolk. Pastor Ruffin is the son of Gloria Ruffin Riddick, the late James McKinley Claud and Deacon John Riddick. He has been married to Karen Gilchrist-Ruffin since 1994, and the couple has three sons, Troy Jr., McKinley and Jalen.
He attended the Christian Outreach Bible Institute, Fayetteville, N.C., and the Institute of Biblical Studies, Lynchburg, where he received a validation certificate for Biblical Studies. He has previously served as master of ceremony for various services; stewardship for three years working closely in church affairs with the pastor; youth leader and founder of the Children’s Church Ministry; Outreach Ministry leader; Men’s Ministry president, a member of the Men’s Praise Team and the Men of Praise Choir. He conducts FTMA New Converts/New Members Classes. He is the co-founder of the C.H.O.I.C.E. Youth Program.
Ruffin is a 1990 graduate of the former John F. Kennedy High School, where he was captain of the basketball team for four years. He has received various certificates for continuing education through his former employer, Sara Lee, currently Massimo Zanetti, and other higher learning institutions.
