A local elementary school was vandalized by a person or group of people over the weekend, a city spokesperson said.
The unknown person or people broke a window to gain entry into Hillpoint Elementary School sometime between 5:40 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. Monday, city spokeswoman Diana Klink said.
They also broke an additional window in the cafeteria, overturned several computers and a printer, rummaged through desk drawers in the office and opened the doors to the freezer in the cafeteria, thereby causing food to spoil.
The investigation is ongoing, Klink said.
