Tyler Sanderson of Suffolk received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history at Centre College’s 191st commencement, held on Sunday, May 25, at the college’s Norton Center for the Arts.

He was one of 325 seniors who were granted degrees, a class that posted an impressive four-year graduation rate topping 84 percent — the highest graduation rate among all Kentucky colleges and universities. Gov. Steven L. Beshear was this year’s featured commencement speaker.

Sanderson is the son of MaryShaw Sanderson and Julian P. Sanderson Jr. of Suffolk and is a graduate of Summit Christian Academy.
