Charles Earl “Buddy” Spicer, 54, of the 900 block of Portsmouth Boulevard, died in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

He was the son of Charlie Umphlette and the late Janice Pritchard.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Spicer; one daughter, Heather Abonza; two sons, Jonathon Spicer and Christopher White; two sisters, Sandra Umphlette and Marie Waters; seven brothers, Charles Umphlette, Earl Umphlette, Mike Umphlette, Robert Umphlette, David Umphlette, Albert Rawls and Raymond Rawls.

Services will be private at the request of the family. Wyatt and Sons Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
