A representative from Congressman Randy Forbes’ office will hold open office hours in Suffolk and Smithfield on Aug. 11.

Curtis Byrd, district director, will be available from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Suffolk Visitor Center, 524 N. Main St., and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Blackwater Regional Library, 255 James St., Smithfield.

Byrd will provide assistance with a variety of constituent services and discuss issues facing the region.

Appointments are not necessary, and visits will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Constituents who need further information or special accommodations can contact Forbes’ district office in Chesapeake at 382-0080.
