A Suffolk man was killed in a fatal accident Sunday morning.

Gerald R. Parker, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in the 600 block of Turlington Road, according to a city news release. It happened at 9:02 a.m.

Parker was the only occupant of the Nissan pickup truck, which reportedly left the roadway and rolled over, according to the release.

Turlington Road was closed for several hours as police investigated and cleared the accident. Traffic was detoured to Jackson Road.
